Sumiyoshi is a town located in the special ward of Koto in the southern part of Tokyo. From the closest station, you will have convenient access to many areas around Tokyo. The bustling modern area of Shinjuku, as well as the popular shopping area located on the artificial island of Odaiba, are both a short 30-minute train ride away. On the first floor, you will find a large and inviting open living area. This room serves as both a living room and also a kitchen. There is a lounging area with two large couches, a coffee table, and a TV. Against the wall, there is an open L-shaped kitchen area with plenty of space for several people to cook at once and plenty of storage for all of your ingredients. The kitchen and lounging area is close enough for you to chat with housemates while you cook.
There is a washroom where you will find a toilet, shower room, as well as a washing machine free for housemates to use. The shower room is a large Japanese style shower room which is a closed-in area with a shower and a heated bathtub.
The private rooftop area with a large table is the perfect space for having a barbecue with your housemates or just enjoying some fresh air by yourself. You are also free to plant whatever plants, herbs, or vegetables you want.
This diverse sharehouse has housemates from countries all over the world such as Switzerland, Italy, the United States, and Japan. The sharehouse has a friendly and inviting atmosphere and the housemates often gather to socialize in the main area. There is always a warm welcome for all of the housemates.
At the monthly house meeting led by the house manager, housemates can discuss the distribution of cleaning duties and house rules over dinner. Sometimes another sharehouse will join in.
