What better reason to throw a party than the opening of a brand new share-house! Allow me to give you a nice but small introduction to the location before diving into the succeeded openings party. The share-house is located at a 10 minute walk from the Monzennakacho metro station. On your way to the station there are many restaurants, shops, convenience stores and several places of interest such as the amazing Shinto shrine. You can get your daily fortune before going to work and that’s exactly what I did!
Other than the places of interest the environment the neighbourhood is very peaceful and neat. As i walked around to get more familiar with the place i walked past a big river surrounded by trees, which will be beautiful during the cherry blossom season. There is also a very big park where children and elderly go to play and do their morning exercises. As this is more a family neighbourhood there are many children walking around and few students or young adults. Now back to our amazing opening party, which by the way was also a welcome party for the first resident of the location! The Come on Up staff of Tokyo all came together in order to make this as fun and pleasant as possible for Nishi-san who would be the guest of honour. We made a diverse banquet of several dishes such as, a western style salad, Oden and even Kentucky Fried Chicken. The guests of the party existed of various people with different ethnicity. Some were other share-house residents, friends and colleagues. So whenever there is a opening party do not hesitate to join anyone is more than welcome! As they say the more the merrier right?
To make this evening complete, the house manager of this new location gave a memorable toast before we dived right into the amazing banquet! All in all it was a great night everyone enjoyed themselves and the guest of honour was very pleased with the welcome / opening party. All we need now are more happy souls to live in this beautiful and cosy house. Will you be our next resident?
